Maintaining suspension pivots

I have an old Muddyfox rock n roll, Ive pulled the suspension pivots to pieces today after replacing the rear shock (Fox alps 5r replaced with Float RC). The pivots are similar in the way the rear shock ones are, with smaller bushes inside the swing arms. Question is what should I do with them? Ive used some Pace grease all round the pivots, is that right? Anything else I should do?

Keep them clean! Keep them maintained/lubed and dont let them wear to far or they'll start to destroy the pivot housings! ;)

As above.

Regular maintenence/checking.

When i clean/strip/re-assemble i use a light smear of grease where its more likely to collect dirt and then more grease on the inside of the pivots.

Thats suspenson grease.
Its ok but id say a tad thin to be used for pivots.

General purpose grease is what you need. Get it from car shop's or similar.

i just overhauled the nylon ones on my 99 FSR. used some lithium grease.
but keeping it clean and a regular check is the main thing :)
