98 GT Timberline hack bike build. FINISHED

Because the rear mech that I had was bent and the spring tensioners in the v brakes were fooked, so that costed £40 plus £15 to buy and get it cabled up and the rest is labour I guess. I'm quite peed off!

You not thought of doing the work yourself in future? I save a fortune that way and thinks only go wrong about every other ride ;)

As for the bike, I like it. Looks ready to take a battering.
Mine is a little older but never fails to put a grin on my face.

Yeah I have but I'm totally crap at gear/brake cabling. plus I didn't really know the rear mech was bent as it seemed to run fine on the donor bike. cheers for the kind coments on the bike.

Great looking bike mate. I have owned 2 of these over the years. A white one with black tiger strips & at the moment a sandy coloured 1 from the early / mid 90's.

Yeh they have been great bikes. Will get them on the forum soon. The white 1 has been my favourate but I sold it as the frame was rusting & I couldn't get it respray with the tiger strips on it so it had to go!!!!!!!!!!! Still got the sandy coloured 1, Gt idrive6.0 2001 & Merlin malt1 2010.
