It is very unusual for the rod to break-check that it is not just the spring guide having unscrewed itself from the rod within the spring. This happens commonly and the rod just gets pushed into the cart leg.
If it is broken or badly scored I have some replacements in stock , and pistons too if that is wrecked

tricky removing the cart-adjuster off, stanchion off, spring off, use a Pace brake pivot screwed into the control tube and held in a vice as a puller to[carefully] remove the cart assy.
Reassembly and correct oil level is a bit tricky too-I have the cart setting tools!
New damper rods in stock and seal kit too
