Why the HUGE interest in how the universe was created? Even if they get an answer what good will it do? It will just be a Trivial Pursuit 'Wedge' of the future answer.
Far better the gazillions of pounds spent building the thing be spent trying to ensure the poor old Earth is still spinning into the future.
