Incredible to believe what we have just witnessed. Perhaps it needed something like Trump and Bush to set it into relief.
I was mad thrilled to see him when he first took office, and to have him wave at me as I stood in the middle of the road braving all the guns and missile launchers.
Now another era begins, and the world holds its breath.
He was a safe pair of hands, much to the chagrin of the detractors.
I certainly don't think there will be a more significant human in my lifetime.

I think on this occasion some of us knew.
