So far i can only identify it as some sort of carriage bolt/coach bolt.
but, all the ones im looking up have a 'square' section just under the head.
I need one that doesnt, any ideas where i might find one? trying to fix a coffee table that has one missing!

apologies for the unbelievably boring post.
but this is how my life is right now - full of tiny little peeves that i need to resolve....

Re:

Does it have a square bit under the head, to stop rotation. You can get them Allen head now as well.
Just search under furniture bolts

Re:

Somehow missed the second picture and missread, thinking you said square head. Can you not use them, they'll just nip into the wood normally. But the Allen head one tend to be round as they don't need it

Re:

Might be able to use square necked one. A tap with the hammer might encourage it in. Will give that a shot.

You'll find it in here

After looking for all things bolts from flat and pan headed to PT to button i gave up  Then noticed the coffee table bit
