Bibshort recommendations please

Hi folks,

I always wear this type when I'm riding, and have a couple of pairs on their way out. Used to get trade team ones as they were cheap, and reasonably comfortable, but looking for plain ones now, that go better with retro jerseys.
Was wondering what others here use, comfortable without costing the earth?
I appreciate this is personal, like saddles, but would like your recommendation anyway

I like Pearl Izumi, both for fit and comfort, I also have some Howies that are merino and are really comfy, but a bit warm for anything but autumn /spring when 3/4 nicks are too warm.

I got a few pairs o Castelli that I really like and a pair of Sugio that are great.

Maybe not compared to Assos or that Rapha lot maybe. I had some camo Castelli ones once, loved them!

Maybe Etxe Ondo. I had some that lasted for years when I raced. I'll look into that

I guess I've been buying from Eu into Australia so no Tax/Vat on them, make them better...generally a pair of shorts here are $au80-110 so bibs for ~120 are fine.
