As I haven't posted anything for a while I thought it was time I did.
First up is my '91 Salsa A La Carte - some of you will be familiar with this
but it's had a couple of spec changes through the spring.
I'm paticularly chuffed with my Rock Shox ' Frankensteins'. They've got
the stancions, internals , crown and steerer of a pair of 1997 Judy XCs,
but the lower sliders, bushes and seals are from some 2002 Judy XC Air.
As the lowers are from a longer travel fork the overlap is much greater
so the forks feel much stiffer than with the old 97 lowers.
There's a couple of shots of the rear brake arrangement for Stavros222.
Next is my 1997 Santa Cruz Heckler -originally had no rear disc mount but I managed to cobble one together from a bit of aluminium plate - works a
treat - it's been rigrously tested at Afan , Black Mountains etc and nothing
dropped off !!
Finally my modern ride 2004 Santa Cruz Heckler - not retro, but rocks in
a different kind of way - the faster you go, the more she likes it !
