Kona Sex One 1995. Cantis info ?

Senior Retro Guru
Just acquired this kona and will be looking to hopefully
Return it to more like original spec
I have the original marzochhi forks impact head set. And stem
Which thankfully seem to be in working condition
My main concern are the brakes would like to re fit some cantis
If possible but the rear pivot arm is missing although the
Threaded boss and cable guide braze ons are present
Looking or any info regarding cantilever compatability
Or to source original crank lever
Apologies for crappy I phone pic
Thanks
Bowser

I'm not sure if you can see it very well but the Proflex used a similar method. its a pivoting rocker/ cable stop thingy - same principle as yours

*just found a brilliant pic!

Re:

Glad you got this one looks in great condition!!

I will send you a photo of the canti rocker you need.

I have one at my mates in Spain, I will see if he can make me one so have a spare .

Looking at the awful resource that is the internet, it looks like a simple lever with a couple of cable clamps.

One cable comes from the brake lever, is clamped and then the brakes themselves are pulled by the lever action of this cam/lever/pivoty thingy.

Thats why just about EVERY EFFING PIC shows these with V-brakes as they would have been about a billion times better in use...

Re:

First pic looks good
Took it out for a test ride over rivington this morning
Without problem .
Rides really well.
