1992 Saracen Tufftrax Elite finished restoration

I bought this neglected Saracen last year. It patiently sat around as I messed with other bikes, but after lots of polishing and a few NOS parts it's almost back to catalogue spec.

First photo is from the For Sale ad.

Oh yeah, nice job! Where did you find those tyres - need some myself

Re:

Hey radian,

The Ritchey tyres were an Ebay purchase a couple of years ago (might have been off Kingroon). The bike would have originally come wearing Megabites - which I was going to put on, but I decided to use them on my Karakoram.

Looks great mate and i use to have the same colour 95 model and was a lovely ride but i can't remember what happend to it  ..

Re:

Wow! Excellent work. Well done.

I really like the 1992 model year Saracens and the Tufftrax Elite is one of my favourites. So once again... Well done.

Re:

Nice job fella, kinda jealous as I have owned one since new and raced it in Devon back in the day but it needs a full resto job. Gonna be hard to get the same standard as yours though. Very sweet to ride then and still now.

Re:

Thanks guys - glad you like it. :D

I had to make some space, so since my first post it's been rehomed and is now with its new owner.

Re:

As I said before... Excellent work.
Just noticed the M560 series black LX rear mech though. These became available in 1993 so, as it's a 1992 bike and everything else is spot on, it really needs an M550 LX rear mech.

Then it would be just about perfect.
