any Miyata ridgerunner fans here know the story behind experimental test examples? logo was hidden under a sharkfin and the rear der. was a tricolor shimano 600,front a suntour xce,rest m730 bits.

Very nice. From the pics I don't see anything that could be expirimental. A setup with cantis front and rear is more common, but for the small frames there was still the U-brake. This is a 16.5"?

yes correct small 16.5 frame.org. had a well used shimano 600 rear changer & a xce suntour front changer,girvin flex stem.my thinking is that the sticker could have not been from Miyata since I had no info of past ownership.to finish the rebuild I played it safe & went with m730 bits since the front brakes were m732,hubs m730,BB dated 1991 may have been replaced from org..a mystery for now but completed.
