Picked this up last week, most fo the parts are tat. Have clean the frame with a toothbrush and it looks all ok, just lots of light scratches on it. Was advertised as a 1994 but with a June 93 serial it deffo a 1993 - which is great because I now have a 93, 94 and 95 GT Zaskar LE's. Along with a 92 and 93 Karakoram, 92 Pantera AL, 94 RTS and 97 STS. Yes I like my GTs

Now know its a Tech Shop frame from 1994

Re: 1993 GT Zaskar LE

I looked in both 93/94 brochures and the decals don't match so I spoke to gm1230126 and he said that normally from September the model was the following year therefore as it was a 0693 serial number it should be a 93 frame?

Re: 1993 GT Zaskar LE

I have just googled 1994 one and mine looks the same, but I would still like clean it up and sticker it for 1993 but I'll see.

Re: 1993 GT Zaskar LE

Looks to me like a 94 decaled Tech Shop frame, sold as a frame only. None of the parts look anywhere close to the original spec of a complete OE bike model.

Mine is serial no 0893 (August - just had it's 20th birthday !) and was a 94 model from the decals.
As previously discussed I think they would have stockpiled frames for shipping in bulk the next year.

Re: 1993 GT Zaskar LE

OK thanks for all the info - I didnt know that tech shop frames had different decals. It had a mish mash of components on it. I think it was passed from father to son, you could chart its demise by the ages of the parts. Also the scariest thing was that the front rim was so worn that part of it was missing - still holding the tire in place tho

Re:

Update: I've had this built up for a while - complete 93 LX except chainset. The frame does need a good polish though, but thought I'd add some purple bits that I had lying around.
