1988 Condor ??

Dirt Disciple
Greetings;
Purchased this bike at an LBS in Germany in 1988 while with the Forces. There were two identical bikes with Condor head badge and decals, one blue and one red. I now suspect they were either from Taiwan or Japan. The build quality is excellent and I've got many miles on it. Even if not a Condor I've been happy with it.
Regards

Those flat plug-fit top eyes on the seat stays look a bit Trek if you ask me... I'd have expected something more 'teardrop' on a 1988 UK bike.

The pressed steel rear brake bridge and the box (rather than cast/machined) cantilever bosses suggest something from a larger factory.

And, as one-eyed Jim says, the head badge is pre-1980.

I thought this bike had nothing to do with the London based firm Condor. I thought I had read somewhere else on RB that this was a far-eastern built frame intended for the USA market. Clearly I am mistaken though. Idiot. Unless of course the head badge was added after and came from another bike. I expect I am just getting my bike tales mixed up.
