The first episode
There's one year ago. After reading the "MTB for sale", I saw a post from Trip : C26 tube set for sale.
"I've got the tubeset, you got the frame… Hey mate ! The tubeset his yours". I was going in a crazy adventure, a friendly story.
I contacted Ameybrook The Pioneer of the C26 rebirth for knowing some details of his awesome adventure, and, the evening, I send a mail to Chris Herting himself.
The end of december, I shipped my yeti FRO frame to the Colorado. I don't know if I'm the 3th or 4th, making a C26 rebirth project, but I'm sure it would be the smallest frame ! I think, Chris Herting would laugh when He received a so small frame (smaller than Furtado's") : Do you really want a C26 in this size ?
In the end of march, I received these pictures…
For waiting news about the metamorphosis, some Retrobikers helped me for some parts : Justkev for a nice bullseye crank, Scant for a so nice Bradbury area manitou fork, Broomhandle, my link in the USA, Gil M for the decals, Mojo, a french friend for preparing some component…
Ameybrook said me that his C26 rebirth was very long (quite 2 years). But, I'm a lucky man and, last weekend, I received a box from USA.
(I agree with Ameybrook who prefers to show a project when completed, but I'm so excited that I can't wait showing you the first pictures.)
