Rollers or turbo trainer?

What's your budget?

Personally I'd say turbo, but I have a friend who swears by his rollers, (they require a certain amount of balance to use them successfully).

Rollers. Far more involving and good for your core strength. Or you fall off. Turbo was sooooo boring.

Re:

I maybe wrong, but I don't think you have any resistance with rollers, whereas with turbo trainers you do. Mine has a lever that you attach to the handlebars that allows you to adjust the resistance from nothing to having to stand to turn the pedals.

I recommend getting a proper turbo trainer tyre too, standard tyres get very hot and start to fall apart, you definitely don't want anything with tread on: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/schw ... -prod83324

You might also want a fan to stand in front of you, if you're indoors you get really hot and sweat buckets.

Your going off topic ;)  think I'll go for rollers with some form of resistance and save my pennies. Got till the winter.
