Hi,

just a quick quezzy about assembling a fork of mine.
Its a Manitou Xvert with TPC damping.
the TPC adjustment on the lower left leg is being a bit difficult. the bolt that fixes the damping rod to the lower just spins around, so never actually tightens up properly - everytime i compress the legs, the allen bolt moves out a little, so you can see that it hasn't tightened up properly.

anyone got any advice as to how to get this tightened up?

Keep the fork compressed and same time tighten that lower bolt.

ive tried that, and it would work if it was on the spring side, but this is the damper side, no compression force to help keep it firmly against the bottom of the lower....

cant remember it being a problem the last time i took this apart...???!!! GRRRRRR

I had this same problem in the end they got sold on! Robmac on here bought them so maybe ask him if he got them rebuilt.

Drill/driver but keep the torque set low otherwise you'll just rip the end off the damper rod.
