I am currently running tubeless setups on all my bikes, i work in the motot trade, so have access to a compressor at work, but its a bit of a P.I.T.A. taking loads of wheels into work to top them up etc..

anyway, thinking of buying a compressor for at home - want to keep cost down to a minimum though, can anyone recommend anything thats going to be up to the job?

I use a portable Koala oilless that runs off the jeep when needed, overkill for just filling MTB tyres though.

One of those wee electric jobbies would do it, the only problem I find with those is the gauges are balls.

Ebay should see you one for a tenner.

I've always managed with a track pump. If the tyre bead is a bit loose then I just put an extra wrap of tape around the rim bed. It's always worked so far.

Cheers for the advice!

The pikey one looked interesting! I'm a fan of bodges, but ended up getting a proper 24l compressor!
