I am looking to build one of my frames back up on a very tight budget to use for a kids seat. being a bit anal re: matching components i was hoping to use matching components for the running gear but the big question is which one?
i only need basic (not quite tourney basic) so was thinking alivio but there doesn't seem to be a lot out there so my thought turned to something like m510 deore but pricing up mech's, brakes & shifters put me over budget without even starting to look at wheels so, what else is there thats worth looking at? older lx? sram x3?
