fyi - I have seen this in the flesh when picking up another bike, the vendor is a house clearance specialist and has no idea about bikes.

the manitou whilst being nice does have a repair to the head tube and is seemed a lot larger than 17 inch but I did not measure it to clarify.. anyway some of you might wanna have a punt..

That's past it.

Headtube cracked
Two cracks on the seating suspension link
Wrong size seatpost? (seat clamp touching itself)
Seattube badly crimped where the wrong size mech is fitted

Could only see the crack on the headtube when I was there, but wasn't looking too hard as I could see the frame was too big. Any cracks in alloy is enough reason to avoid anyway..

There was only one pic when I checked the listing earlier. They have not pictured the other repair in the headtube. I didn't see the other crack they have pictured when I was there. Looks a real mess.. why have so many people bid on a frame that is affectively scrap? It is beyond repair..right?

It's not something I'd bother with!
I sold mine for £80 with no cracks, although it did have a linkage welded where it had cracked.

The seat tube as mentioned is severely distorted and crushed due to the non standard mech "bracket",it looks like an industrial tube support bracket modified to suit. What kind of knuckledragger would have done that and then proceed to tighten the bejaysus out of it knowing the frame is butted lightweight ally tube? That, along with the headtube, makes this a wall hanger, pity.
