Bought this off my brother a few months back for hauling the little un around on but since this is going to be restricted to tame stuff like fire-roads and towpaths, thought I'd get something I could have a bit more fun on when not hauling him around (already have two mountain bikes I'd ride ahead of the Chameleon).
So, ideally after a swap for a tourer type hybrid thing, maybe even a cross bike that'd cope with a child seat on the back. Anything considered that I'd fit (at 5'8").
The spec of the Chameleon is below - can do pics tomorrow...
frame: medium mk1 Santa Cruz Chameleon in blue. Paintwork not great but 100% solid structurally with no dents etc
fork: original orange Z1 BAM. Needs some new top caps and refilling with oil but all seals etc seem to be good. Apart from that, they're in really good nick.
headset: Dia Compe cheapo thing
stem: choice of Bontrager (120mm) or Azonic (100mm)
bar: Azonic World Force
grips: red squidgy Serfas ones
pedals: 24Seven Slackers
post: Titec
seat: Ritchey
groupset: FULL XT! including v-brakes. In really good condition - looks like its done pretty few miles
wheels: XT hubs on Mavic D521 rims and either Panaracer Fire XC Pros or some chunky Specialized things that weigh the same as the moon
Think thats it. Bike is in Halifax and don't want to faff posting etc...
For pricing sake, I'd also sell for £250 collected.
