This is a ride round Matthews back yard with a great lunch stop for "soap fans"
It also shows how much good urban greenway riding there is around the Leeds/Shipley area.

No Helmet No Ride

Re:

Well I'd better go as it's my route and starts 50yds from my front door , will get details to Vern or Stu with a description to stick in first post soon .Lunch stop will be the original Woolpack from Emmerdale for all those that get inflicted watching it by there other halfs !

Is this starting from the woolpack at yeadon? The one just off Rawson roundabout where jct 600 used to be? It's not so far from me so I'll make this one all been well.

Re:

Start point is Halfway House Pub (well the road next to it ) LS28 on Broad Lane on Pudsey /Stanningley border , lunch is booked for the Wooly at Esholt (original Woolpack from Emmerdale), rode most of it yesterday and it's still wet and a bit muddy in places but no probs to ride , Lunch booked for about 1.00 pm and I've got a menu I'll take a piccy of and put up so we can pre- order and phone through when we set off , there's plenty of bail out options dependent on time/condition but the good news is the bit along the side of the river near Esholt is fine after the floods (it was one of the dryest bits ), there are caravans scattered about in fields and a few demolished walls on the flood plain though , one of the short cuts is closed near the sewage works due to preventative maintenance work but all it means is we'll have to do a couple of interesting short downhill bits .
