My 1984 Raleigh Gran Course all ready for the L'Eroica Britannia last Sunday.
Bought it as a frame in the late 80s from a friend's dad who had had to give up cycling due to illness, he'd bough it from the factory a few years earlier. Built it up over a couple of years as I managed to save up for all the bits. Its a mix of 105, RX100 and a few other bits and bobs. As it stands in the picture 10.3kg, very easy to get it under 10 with lighter tyres, tubes and something lighter than the Brookes saddle.
The tyres will be swapped soon, the 28mm gatorskins are what a lifetime of riding the roads and trails used in L'Eroica Britannia told me were needed for a bit of comfort and lot of puncture protection!
