OK, thanks. after checking velobase, I'll have to un-dib for now, as the headset I need to replace is a shimano ultegra 6400, which according to velobase has a stack height of 37.6, or 33.5 according to one of the comments.

Stack height is indeed approx 41mm excl. spacers, this one has one 2 mm spacer included, so total stackheight is ca. 43mm
