Nice Claret & Blue vintage Phillips steel framed 3 speed togglechain racing or commuting bike ,i brought 2 Phillips frames at same time and
i was told that they were both Lightweight tourist model with Reynolds 531tubing when i purchased them , but i have no proof . And its very heavy .size is 20 1/2" ctc and 22" along top tube .
In July 2011 it was overhauled with loads of new parts being fitted
ie brake cables , drive chain , head set and bottom bracket bearings all replaced at same time , less than 250 miles ago.
bike was in daily commuting use till just before christmas 2011 , have just tested ridden round the block and have noticed only 2 of the 3 gears were selecting 90% of time so will need re adjusting .
nice and easy to ride , that looks the part as well .
