Hi,
I recently purchased 2 Cornelo mt.'s from 1990. One of them is to small for me and that's why I'm selling it.
It is an "as new" Cornelo mtb with Shimano exage 400 groupset. Cornelo's where made by a dutch specialist who had the frames made in Italy, apparently by Colnago, so I heard from several sources. I don't know of that is completely true. There is only limited info on the web. Cornelo made mainly road bikes and this was their first attempt to jump on the MTB craze.
He had the frames painted in Belgium and assembled in the Netherlands. All of his bikes where excellent builds in those days and the are highly appreciated here in the Netherlands. This frame is made from Columbus Gilco tubing which has an unique "profile"
Like more MTB's of that era you have al the mounting points for mudguard, racks etc. I got this bike from the original owner who purchased a set in 1989/1990 (he was not sure). 1 for himself and 1 for his wife. His own bike was well used and shows it. This bike belonged to his wife and she had only ridden it a very few times on the road( 2 times he said and he was still annoyed about it) when it was stored in the garage. Please follow the link for pictures of it.
I want 150,- for this bike.
The bike is currently in the Netherlands and I can ship it to the UK for about 38,- euro. Well packed in a bicycle cardboard box.
