Interesting Classic Mini 1275 GT Project

Knowing some of you here are interested in infernal combustion engined stuff too I thought i'd put the feelers out for this pair of mini Clubmans.

First is a mint Clubman shell only. No ID but we think its about a 1978. For sale with doors, and bootlid but no bonnet. The bodykit is plastic and is nicely fitted but it should just drop off if its not to your taste. I can't see any evidence of the steel being cut or modded to get the bodykit on. Even the front wings have been left uncut for 12" or smaller wheels. A lot of time and money has gone into this so would make it very easy to restore the next car I have for sale:

Second is a 1275gt Clubman saloon. T reg, 3 owners. I was told the engine will run but I have not yet had time to try it. It turns over alright but probably needs the usual points, gap, plug, fuel service to get it to fire. I was also told the engine has been modded for fast road use but we don't know what displacement is is without taking the head off. It has a 12g940 head so is 1275cc minimum. This also has Cooper S disc brakes, 5 x 10 GB alloys with good Yoko a008 tyres. The shell is rusty but i've seen far worse repaired in the past. That said I think the obvious thing to do is swap these parts into the good shell.

The red car is worth about 2k to me in parts and the shell must have cost 5k plus to construct. I am asking £1500 for each car but open to offers on either or on the pair. Also I can deliver these cars if required. Just send me your postcode for a quote.

If it helps you won't need a double garage, just a single would do as you could be stripping the red one while the shell was being painted. Remove red shell from garage, replace with good shell, bolt back together and be on the road before anyone can say "Charlie Croaker".

Also I am willing to negotiate below £3,000.

sadly the 3k would be the bigger problem than a garage. i am putting my all ti` bike on ebay soon and if it sells then i could be back but i cant see this hanging around for long if advertised in the right place. glwts
