Transfers I would look at H Lloyd Cycles, there are also some good traders on eBay.

Repainting depends on what you want, I have Argos Racing local to me, they can do a one colour respray or they can reproduce some of Dave more exotic designs, the the prices soon rise to eye watering levels as things get complicated.

I don't have manufacturing dates in the register, but if you are the original owner then there is really nothing I have that you don't already know, that said a frame made in early 1989 will have been one of the very first Dave made himself.

That one is interesting.

According to the register LL92581 is an Allsop frame made of EL / 753 and originally made for John Lillie.

Interesting frame with an interesting tube mix.

An Allsop frame will have the saddle mounted on an Allsop beam.

Look on page 9 of this thread and you will see a DL Allsop.

If yours does not look like the one on page 9 then there are two possibilities. Either it was later modified or you have the frame number wrong.

The numbering is always difficult to read on a painted frame.

However, there is nothing to say that the frame was not returned to Dave for a rebuild. I have a MTB here which has a 1994 frame number, but the geometry is set and the frame designed around a set of Pace forks that were not made until 1997. Also when found most of the running gear was also from 1997 with the exception of one wheel... the rear I think, that had clearly been installed much later.

With hand made steel frames, all things are possible.

LL92585 is a 1992 road frame made of Reynolds 753 and was originally built for Mel Bentley.

That sound like a nice, fast, light frame.
