Identifying Classic Ribble and Dawes 531 - can you help?

Hi

I'd be massively grateful if you can help me indentify the age and model of a couple of classic steel road bikes.

I have a Dawes Reynolds 531ST frame. 23inch frame, 18 speed. However, I don't know if it's a Galaxy or a Tourer or other. It seems to have had its front crankset updated to a triple chainring. Somebody told me I could possibly identify the age through the wheels. Here are the pictures:

I also bought a Ribble which is considerably lighter (about 10.5kg). 24 inch frame, 24 speed. It has a Campagnolo Veloce groupset but has no decals on the frame. I thought it might be 631 but it has some odd bits like a Peugeot fork and a Cinelli handlebar. I'd be interested if anyone knows the age, model or frame type.

The Dawes looks like an early 1990's Super Galaxy. Very good bikes and I wish they still manufactured these!
The 'Ribble' could be anything! Ribble used to (I am talking many years ago!) offer a refinishing service and your bike could have started life as a Peugeot. Is there a frame number?

Re:

That "Ribble" is a Peugeot. Probably a 531PRO frame. Is there chrome under the paint on the front forks? It looks like a respray for sure. You can tell its a Peugeot because it has Simplex ends, shot-in seat stays and a pump peg. Probably around 1988 or 89

What size seatpost does the Ribble take? Most Ribble's i've had have had a 27.2mm and have been built in the Mike Kowalski era.
