Help in identifying frame please

Retro Newbie
Hi there, new to forum so apologies if I have posted in wrong place. I have a frame which I am struggling to identify, it has a serial number on bottom bracket which is the number 22 over the number 4809, it also has unusual drilled lugs and co2 bosses on frame. Seems to be a pretty nice frame. Tried to find details on internet but so far unsuccessful so any opinion on what the frame might be would be much appreciated.

Re:

Picture attached of bosses, might not have used correct terminology for these, I meant the braze ons to take co2 cartridges, will post pic of frame tomorrow, thanks for reply

Interesting!

I'd guess it dates from the Seventies at the latest, judging by the position of the rear derailleur cable guide and the rake of the forks.

I've not seen down tube bosses like that before, but I doubt they're for CO2: my guess (again) is that they are for a bottle cage, but were added to the frame at a later date.

The "22" is also curious: the second 2 appears to be in a different font.

A bit of time spent trawling through photos of lugs might narrow it down.

Looks to be good quality though: Campag ends and a 27.2mm seatpost?

Re:

Agree, it is an interesting one, have spent many hours trying to find similar head lug on internet. The down tube braze ons are odd, to be honest quite clunky when compared with the rest of the frame. Haven't been able to find campagnolo stamp or any other maker on dropouts but respray isn't helpful, might need to strip a dropout and see. Think you are right about seatpost sizing but will check. Appreciate your comments, the seventies suggestion miggt be helpful in identifying maker. Thanks again.

Which is what makes me think they're "after market".

Possibly homemade/DIY, by someone without the means to to add the usual threaded mount...

Could be earlier than Seventies: which cable guides and mounts were and weren't fitted varied over time.

Are the cables routed over or under the bottom bracket?

Re:

Head lugs look a bit like bocama (BCM) and were probably drilled by the frame builder before making the frame to add his personal style.
The close up on the seat cluster looks like a Pennine I had years ago, but it could be anything really
