the square shaped chainstays were a feature of the 1995 indian fire trail only. the 1995 nail trail had the same frame design as the aluminium frames in the years before.Easy_Rider":21y5ac0l said:You're right. If it has square tubed chainstays then it'll be '94 IIRC

A bugger, it was Indian fire trail i was thinking of!
That crack look pretty terminal to me too, you don't want to risk a repair there, as the front and rear end of bike parting company while riding is not good fun
