Marin advice

Old School Hero
Hi I would really appreciate some Marin advice.

I would like to buy an old steel Marin but I am unsure of the Marin heirachy?

So far a Marin Palisades Trail Mountain Bike has caught my eye and also a Marin Lite Eldridge Grade but I think this one is aluminum?

I prefer the older looking Marins the steel ones with the old spaced out logo. The greys and and bright colours.

I would like to get one and visit the Isle of Weight.

Thanks for any feedback.

Many thanks Khane.
Great resource!
Looks like I should aim for the Team Marin then the Pine Mountain and also the Eldridge Grade. They look like the top end of steel in 1991 with cool colours to match.
How much would one of the above cost today?

cant really help you on the marin front (besides that info above) i'm more of an Orange, Pace fan.

i'm sure some one will be along to help you out though :)

Thanks I am ignorant of all things mtb but what would be a good Orange bike I don't need suspension and would prefer steel.

i dont honestly think there is such thing as a bad Orange.

there steel bikes would be the clockwork, C16 (and its varients), Prestige and P7.

cant really comment on the C16 & P7 as ive never riden either of them, however they were the replacements for the clockwork & prestige so i should imagine they ride pretty much the same.

which ever you choose it will bring a smile to your face they are wonderful machines.

BTW they are all hardtails

i never miss a chance to show off my 1990 eldridge
