Kilaeua refurb to sell?

Hi chaps, Im having a dilema. Old faithfull has to go. Kona Kilaeua blue 16" c to c frame, marz Z2's, 221's on Xt, Xt shifters & rear mech, Lx levers, brakes and cranks. Do you think I should sell in a used condition or is it nice enough to paint and trick out? What would paint cost and what do you think its worth either way? Cheers.

Hiya, the paint is chipped back to the black original undercoat in places, along the top tube etc. I was wondering if it was sexy enough to invest in a refurb and if I would make my money back. Cheers
 
Not sure if you'll make your money back. Might be better to sell as is and let the buyer repaint if desired. Could work either way I suppose. Is that not the original paint? Looks an awful lot like a 97 to me....
 
Personally I'd prefer it as it is. Prefer original paint with a few minor scratches to a respray any day. :D
