I'm hoping to get one of my 90's retro steeds out to race in the retro class for some nostalgic fun at the Malverns festival in 2019. My concern is that whilst its only an XC race for fun, the bikes are getting on for 25 years old. Can bikes like this take the punishment ? My current choice is a '95 GT RTS Team or a '96 Pace RC200 F6 hardtail but I'm a bit twitchy about pushing an aly frame that old that hard.
