I just traded this E-stay because of the wheelset and XTR cranks, but am wondering now if the frame is something nice.
It has a little strange mix of parts, DX and XT STI, LX mechs and hubs, M900 cranks with XT pedals. Wheels are 217's.
Frame has an 11/8" headset and a part of a USA decal.
Anyone any idea what it could be?
Cheers all!

Re:

I've just trawled Google as I'm intrigued and could not find a single image of an estay with the same features.

Not many have a straight chain stay to frame angle with the down tube. None I saw had the cable stops like yours either.

Is it an anodised frame? I didn't find any that weren't painted or polished.

The American flag made me think Scott, but again, found no Scott's like yours.

Good luck, I hope you identify it, the cable stops should be a give away I think.

Yes it is anodized, I've searched for these cable stops ànd routes (they aren't very standard too) for quite some time without result.

Nobody spotted the 28" hybrid forks yet
It was set up with one Vbrake and one canti brake, both with the pads on the tire

With a setup like that it could be a British Leyland

Also apart from friction what is holding the seatpost up :?:

Re:

Don't know what it is, but I like it.

I'm sure I've seen those cable stops before but I'm buggered if I can remember where.
