Hi,

What grease, muck, lube is best used on fork elastomers to slow down the drying out process?
There’s this transparant stuff on the elastomers of my M3's that I am unable to ID..

Pace RC7 (you can buy it from Pace directly for not very much) or Judy Butter (fairly widely available) are probably your best bets. Slather it on liberally!

You need to be careful as some greases will degrade the elastomers rapidly. Lithium (I think) is not advised. That pace grease is good stuff

I looked into this a while ago, turns out that a silicone based grease is fine. There are plenty on ebay and cheap. The one I bought is kind to plastics. A good old smear is fine. Had no issues.
