I'm thinking of running an 8 speed dura ace or ultegra 11-21, 48 tooth, any thoughts, disadvantages. Any complications you tech boys might be thinking or can forsee.

When I lived in Cambridge I had an Ultegra chainset and 2" slicks on my Kilauea that I used for tormenting the University Roadies...
Of course, I was 10 years younger and several stones lighter then!
