Tell me about Rock Lobster frames....

...only there's one on ebay I've got my eye on (leave it alone ) as I remember Merlin, I think, selling them and always fancied one years ago, but on googling them, it seems some were US made and high end things...?? :?

Were these the ones Merlin were selling or did they go 'low budget' at some point?

The original Lobsters were built by Paul Sadoff but in the early-mid 90's (I think) he had frames built in Taiwan, to his design, to hit a cheaper price point. These were originally licensed to someone in Germany and then later to Merlin over here. That's something like the right story I think Kaz

What year was yours Adrian, do you think....? I see the one I have on watch has the canti hanger, etc, so presuming 95ish, will it be 1" head tube at that sort of era?
