Hmm, mine came with a 26.8. Sounds like one of those cases where 27.0 works on a frame which has had little heat distortion. There are a few Konas like that too.
Mine too. Seat tubes ovalize with heat distortion from welding and rather than ream them they would pop in a smaller post. I bought the bike new, so I don't think there is any mismatch.
