So can someone remind me.....were there 2 years of Zolatone Marins in the UK? ie. 90' & 91'? And was one year of Zolatone 2000 lighter than the other?

I understand that one grey might have been lighter than the other e.g 90' lighter than 91' but i'm not sure about this.... :?

I vaguely remember there being 2 shades in those two years. '90 was a very pale grey, and '91 was a lot lot darker. (athough I think the '90 Bear valley wasn't so pale, as it had black componentry).

That's all from memory

As Steve says, 90 was light grey with white decals, 91 was darker with decals matched to the forks. I believe the 92 bikes had a form of zolatone as well.

Check out the archives on the site for pictures. :D

So i've obtained a near match of the 91' paint as advised on this forum (i.e. the spraycan used as bumper paint and gives finish like that used on stereos in the 80/90's), but not sure i'll find a close match of the earlier and, therefore, lighter zolatone paint....unless anyone can advise otherwise?

Good Knowledge folks......think i must have had the 90' Team Marin then :D

Oooooo, I want a '90 Zolatone Team but they seem to be rare as hens teeth so will be interested in how yours turns out.

BTW, my pal and me have a '91 Palisades frame that we're sending to the far east for repainting. He works for a sports equipment distributer and one of the rowing machines they do has paint very similar to Zolatone so the frame's off to the factory that makes them.
