Zaskar seatpost size

Hi all anyone tell me the size a 1994 Zaskar takes? I'm hoping it's 26.8mm.

just found this from our resident GT guro GM, which i found on another site so i hope he doesnt mind me posting here, but he says and i quote

I think the 26.8 or 27.0 for a 1994 depends upon the month it was manufactured. There may have been a seat tube running change in production. I have had both in complete bikes that had all there original parts. If the 27.0 goes in way snug to the point that it's marring the post I'd definitely go 26.8 as long as it will stay tight and not swivel.

so its a case of suck it and see, it also seems when the question is asked three different people will give you 26.8 ,27.0 and 27.2,

I disagree. If it does transpire to be a 27.0 then you'll be better of using a coke can shim than over-tightening the clamp.

If it helps, my Zaskar dated March 1994 had a 27.0 seat-post.

I have 2, I use a 26.8 and a 27.0

The 2mm doesn't really make a difference, Both posts fit fine.

This is my serial number 11937069 I take it's build in Nov 93 so a 94 model?
I thought £20 was a good price for the seatpost?

Yup, November 1993, Making it FS in 1994.

£20 seems a good price for the condition it is.

I've been looking for a bit for one saw it on eBay, was going to ask on here but thought someone may have beat me to it so just got it.
