<My fave - and this isn't Diamondback obsession (I may have that disorder, but I like to think it's not influencing this decision), is a metallic blue that was used on a mid 90s Apex. I'm not sure whether it was 94 or 96, I know it's not 95, 'cos I've got one, and that has a dark blue matt finish. >

It won't be a '96, the Axis was silver / red / blue, a lot like this:

I have a few faves but i think they only look best on the bikes they were intended for, they'd maybe work on other frames depending on what it is i suppose, favourite at the moment is the Jellybean on the Salsa a la carte, next Gator fade Kleins followed by orange/white fade but like someone has already mentioned only on an Orange frame

But I was talking about the Apex.

It may have been 94, though, 'cos I think (as you hint with the Axis pic), that they changed the paint schemes totally, around these years.
