I’ve finally decided to sell my 1996 Yeti Arc.
Having sat in my cellar for 18 months, I’ve got to admit that I’m not going to get round to fixing it myself.
When I bought it, I didn’t realise that it was broken, but on close inspection, the head tube is cracked.
I have investigated the repair options, and it’s not difficult. But does require a vice and a drill to prevent the crack from spreading further. I don’t have a vice at home, and so I’ve done nothing!
I did have a collar made up, which is the main part required for the repair, and that will be supplied with the frame, along with repair instructions. The rest of the frame is in OK condition. Never as good as the ebay seller would have you believe though. A bit of chain suck. A sticker that masked a couple of paint chips. And general wear and tear. I’ve taken some high quality photos that should allow you to zoom. But if you want any others taken, feel free to shout.
I can also supply the frame with a set of colour matched Judy SL’s. And if desired, the silver Chris King headset, Ringle Zooka stem, Syncros b/b, an embroidered yeti saddle and a retro yeti racing jersey that all came with it.
Lets say frame and forks for £120
Or with headset, bottom bracket, saddle, stem and top for £275
Please see here for detailed pics
Any questions, just ask.
PS
I'm pretty sure it's an 18". It's either that, or a 19" but will check tomorrow.
