Year of build

Hi All
I have bought a Raleigh Sirocco road bike with a serial number WD4, on a website it suggests that it was built in Nottingham, in March in 1974, however seems to be a bit of confusion as to whether its 1984, can someone clarify please?

I'm looking to sell it but want to be sure of the year it was built

White and red paint = 1984
Red (Wine) = 1985

As far as I am aware the Sirocco was a new model introduced in 1984
