I just did a bit of Googling and looks like the chainset isn't compatible with my XT set-up. :roll:

Doh missed another set! Really should put a wanted out for a middle chainring
Oh and they work on any road octalink bb aswell as XTR

I was Googling fast before commiting to buy! like the great roberto said another BB (£50!) and tool, it gets expensive XTR. Still, if you've already got that kit the XTR chainset was bargain of the week. I'm sure there's one happy chap for £40.

Update: MJN are you sure they work with a road BB?
