XTR ST-M960 BRIFTERS work spot on and smoothly. £35

(These are a 9x3 gear arrangement and are best with a "reverse rise" rear mech so that the 4 gear position shift in one downward press is going to quickly get you up from your 1st gear and into a useable middle of the block gear position and then right at the other end of your gears if you are accelerating rapidly by just one more downward press.. two hand movements to get from 1st to 9th as fast as your rear mech can cope with)

V-Brakes or cable actuated disc brakes only...

Never had the additional thumb shift levers (would have discarded them anyway if they had been present as the single lever for braking/shifting is far superior to having two separate levers AND your brake lever all to do the same job(in my opinion anyway))

There is a bottom cover piece that went the way of the wind during the last few years which I never noticed till recently so it was just a cosmetic touch and is on the underside anyway so happy days....

also I just spotted that there is a screw or two absent so they could do with being added to prevent anymore outer plastics going off on a tangent.

These shift through up to 4 gear positions in one single downward thrust and 1 gear at a time in the upwards fashion but it is very quick to repeat the upward movement as is only a very small amount of travel needed and is just a twinge with the knuckles of your right hand a few times over and your at the opposite end of the cassette again before you realise it.

If I ever had to go back to a non rohloff geared hub again I would have to insist on using a pair of these or the newer model of them maybe as once you get used to them they are effortless even more so than any sort of xtr shifter pods you might have.

few minor scuffs etc and they are in perfect working order and am sad to see them go after my many years of use...

I would Love them. Any chance on swaps?

Yes I am really in need of a replacement set of xtr v_brake levers now that I have got the Rohloff gripshift and had to unhappily remove these sti's..

It was the one component I hadn't really given any thought to until I was midway through the whole Rohloff installation procedure and suddenly realised that the only other brake levers I had access to at that moment in time is the pair of shimano servo wave horrible looking things which I still have fitted now.

So, got any levers from M960 groupset -> current model whatever that may be.
