Got a sweet xtr m960 crankset with 28,36,46 rings, also got a new xtr m961 fm, after fitting it seems the bottom of the cage on the inside rubs on the middle ring, thats when i have got the correct spacing/clearance from the outer ring.I can move the fm up on the seat tube but the clearance is the prolly 7 or 8mm then instead of 3.
Do i change my front mech or is there a work around,i did have an e-type fm but that wouldnt even clear the 46 ring.New rings for chainset would work but dont fancy the cost involved.
