For sale here is my COMPLETE Deore XT Hollowtech II chainset, with triple rings, XT BB and XT front mech. All for a bargain £99 delivered! SOLD
The matching FD-M770 front mech is 34.9mm clamp-on, reduceable down to whatever seat tube size you have with the spacers available from Shimano/Chainreaction/Ebay/Bike shops.
Condition is very good-to-excellent - this set has done just 5 off road rides so has negligible wear - just see the pics of chainring teeth, the black anodizing is only just starting to wear off.
Crank arms are great but as they have been used expect some marks - again see pics.
BB is smooth and tight with no play, as to be expected after such minimal use.
Preload adjuster end-cap included too of course.
22-32-42 rings, 175mm cranks, English regular threaded BB cups.
I used this on my 3 x 9 set up, but it is also compatible with 8 and 10 speed. I have run the same chainset on a retro 8-speed rig, and a friend runs the same on his modern 3 x 10 set-up and it all works fine, but as it is M770 series it is optimized for 9-speed. I personally think 3 x 9 is the best MTB setup overall, considering gear range, shifting, set-up, ease of maintenance, cost and wear...
