It's still on a shimano crank, so yes shimano fit I'll leave it on there if you want a spare drive side, it'll save me taking it off. It's pictured off the arm, fitted shortly after pic was taken for a ss which I built, never used :roll:

Don't know? Depends how good you are with a hammer.
TBH I couldn't be bothered after I found a donor frame for chainstays, the seller didn't get back to me, so I left the frame in the shed. Which is why the chainstays are unbolted from the front triangle.

Yes, the plates are the same for the 980 as 990.
