SOLD TO STEVETAIT :)

I can't ignore it any longer.

I need a modern full susser in my life again. I miss the days of hooning around trail centres and tracks and I want to go back to doing what I enjoyed the most.

My X Lite Titanium Pro is going up for sale to fund a new bike.

I want to sell the frame and forks first, and I want them to go together. There aren't many of these frames about in an 'X Lite' guise, and the forks aren't exactly common either ;)

The frame and forks are both in excellent condition. There is a small ding on the down tube of the frame, which I can only assume is from the forks swinging around and catching it at some point before I owned it.

Since I've owned it, it's literally been ridden for a total of about 5 miles and then stored in the outhouse, as it was my original intention to re-build it.

Size is 18" centre-to-top.

The forks are stunning, and are in excellent condition, just like the frame. The titanium legs are polished, and provide an excellent contrast to the satin finish of the frame (which has polished decals, just to tie it all in nicely ;) )

Here's what you get:

- Frame
- Trimnell Forks
- X Lite (?) Titanium Handlebars
- X Lite Bar Ends
- X Lite PSS1 Saddle
- X Lite ZE seatpost
- XT Front Mech

Now, a Ti Pro frame recently sold on eBay for £450 (I can find the link if you like). The forks sell for £350 (check the for sale section and see for yourself).

I'm asking £800.00 for the complete package as listed above.

This price includes postage to the UK (TNT).
I will post anywhere, but the buyer pays the extra postage cost.

Payment via PayPal Gift or Bank Transfer preferred. Payment using regular PayPal is fine, but please add 3% to cover fees.

Any questions, please ask. I'll post some pictures up soon (just off to take some now). In the meantime, take a look at the link in my signature so you can have a peep at it.

Thanks

Don't do it...Full Sus isn't all it's cracked up to be

I wouldn't be selling it if I could afford to have both! I just miss my freeride bikes too much... It's all I used to ride a few years ago and I want to get back into it.

I'm not desperate to sell the X Lite (I'm not selling it because I need the cash!), so it's not priced for a quick sale. It's priced at an amount which I think is fair, given recent sale prices. If it doesn't sell, I'll keep it and start saving :D

Oh BallBags :? I want it but have just funded 2 builds this week...next month hey :D

If you're serious about wanting it, then I'm in no rush to sell it. I'd happily hold it for you until next month, for a small non-refundable deposit?

It's completely up to you :)

Photos. If anyone needs pictures of anything in particular, just let me know. I'll be happy to take more. I've covered all of the marks though, and there's a photo of the ding too.

Note - Saddle is in perfect condition. It was NOS when I bought it and it hasn't been used since it's been fitted.

Is this my unicorn? I think it may possibly be :?

Not that I have the cash, but just out of interest, how is it different to a 'normal' Torus? If I'm even correct in thinking that that's kinda what it is - I might have that totally twisted so apologies in advance!

You're on the right track!

As far as I can find out, the frame was manufactured for X-Lite in Nottingham by Raleigh Special Products (RSP). I'm not sure if/how it's different from a Torus frame, apart from the fact that there are far less X-Lite Ti Pros about (and the Torus isn't exactly what you'd call common either!).

The forks were designed by Rex Trimnell, who I'm sure you're aware is "Mr X-Lite". The crowns and stem are machined ali, and the legs are titanium. They use Timken tapered roller bearings top and bottom, and they don't have a steerer tube, so to speak. Instead, both crowns are compressed together by a long titanium bolt which runs from the top cap down to the bottom crown. Keeps the weight down and at just over 900g in weight, they're not what you'd call heavy for a set of dual-crowns ;)
