WTD: Shimano 600 headset (non-ahead)

Hi

Looking for a NOS or VVGC Shimano 600 headset in english thread. Required to replace a unit that has seen better days and appears to have a spacer washer missing (and also goes tight around centre).

What have you?

Got this one all present bearings a bit gritty, plastic ring in top cap is broken but sits ok when fitted, £20 posted

Thanks I will keep it in mind but would prefer new - are the bearings in any way serviceable? I think the problem with the current one is that the bearings have been gritty and I don't want to fit something thats going to start doing the same thing.

Yes you can get the bearings apart and service them I did a quick job this morning on the bottom one and made it about 50% better than it was.
